Improving English Vocabulary Using Visual Mnemonic Technique

The purpose of this study is to increase English vocabulary using visual mnemonic techniques for seventh graders junior high school. Several factors inhibited students from having difficulty memorizing vocabulary, lose motivation memorize and easily forgetting the they had learned. This inhibiting factor could be overcome by students' vocabulary. used Classroom Action Research with a sample 32 students. research was conducted at SMP N 2 Kasihan, Bantul. Data collected observation, interview, pre-test post-test instrument field notes, documentation tests end each in entire cycle. Analysis data quantitative qualitative descriptive analysis. results proved that percentage student scores continues increase. can seen acquisition pre-cycle values last value obtained only 15.93% then increased first cycle 37.38% second there an again. There very good 95.75%, average score 85.31. cycle, targeted presentation 80% KKM 75. level achievement has proven technique helped Bantul increasing remarkably.
